Driver’s Licence Renewals

Requirements for renewing a Driver’s Licence whilst overseas

The applicant is required to delegate an individual in Jamaica to transact the renewal on his/her behalf

The applicant will need to complete in full and sign the application form in the presence of a Notary Public or Consular Officer, who should affix his/her stamp and duly sign the form

The applicant should provide two (2) recent passport sized photograph

The applicant should address a letter of authorization to the Collector of Taxes, giving clear and sole authority to the bearer of the letter by name to conduct the transaction on his/her behalf

The applicant should send to the individual acting on their behalf in Jamaica the:

1.Completed application form
2.Authorization letter
3.Two (2) passport-sized photographs
4.Relevant fee

An application for an International Driver’s Licence is the same as above.

Kindly note that the processing of applications to renew a driver’s licence is NOT done at the High Commission.
